91ºÚÁÏÍø Health Services – Promoting Wellness & Disease Prevention
At 91ºÚÁÏÍø (91ºÚÁÏÍø), Health Services goes beyond medical care, offering seminars and peer-led outreach programs to promote healthy living. Our disease prevention efforts focus on minimizing infections and easing concerns about bacterial meningitis, HIV/STIs, and influenza.
Each year, we host health awareness events, including the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Health & Wellness Fair, held in collaboration with the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Recreation and Wellness Center every 3rd Wednesday in September. This event connects the 91ºÚÁÏÍø community with free health services, including HIV testing, blood pressure checks, dental & vision screenings, flu shots, and nutrition advice.
Students, faculty, staff, and the local community can access free HIV testing at the Student Health Center every Wednesday during the fall and spring semesters. Additionally, we organize blood drives, bone marrow registration drives, and health awareness campaigns focusing on HIV/STI prevention, heart health, and overall wellness.
91ºÚÁÏÍø Peer Advocates for Wellness (PAWS) – Student Health Leadership
Join Peer Advocates for Wellness (PAWS) at 91ºÚÁÏÍø (91ºÚÁÏÍø) to promote student health, leadership, and well-being. PAWS volunteers provide peer mentorship, support services, and health education on physical, mental, sexual, and emotional wellness within the 91ºÚÁÏÍø community.
Students interested in gaining experience in health promotion or earning community service hours are encouraged to apply. Submit your PAWS application via the 91ºÚÁÏÍø website (tsu.edu) and start making a difference.
